Castillo de Canena
Castillo de Canena takes its name from the family castle nestled in the hills of the township of Canena, in Spain’s Jaen province in the region of Andalusia. The family owned company with olive-growing tradition dates back to 1780.
From the careful tending to the trees to the moment the olive oil reaches points of sale in over 50 countries worldwide, the team at Castillo de Canena personally monitor the entire production process.
The 2000 hectare is an example of innovation and sustainability project, they sign numerous collaboration projects with universities, associations and NGO to enrich the ecosystem.
For 3000 years, olive oil has played a leading role in the culture and economy, with Jaén seated at the very center. It is here where the family-owned olive trees cover the lovely, irrigated farmland and harvest the olives for producing the highest quality extra virgin olive oil of classic varietals such as Picual, Arbequina and Royal.
